This poem was a gift....

Today I ride the windy North Sea
on a boat of flimsy wood
and think of a friend in the Caribbean
a friend seldom understood
humanity proudly abuses and ignores
the feelings of the creatures in the 'blue'
I head my boat on a northerly course
and think: that DOLPHINS have sentiments too

near an island in that faraway sea
a school of dolphins swam around me
and touched my soul with their guile-less smiles
deeply touched by their divinity
orgasmic waves of friendly energy
I stayed with them awhile
one dolphin in particular
caught my fancy and my eye
it swam between my legs and then
it LEAPED into the sky

my heart was filled with purest love
I did not wonder why
that creature was so brave and free
filled me with its ecstasy
it looked at me and I cried
and later that day, in a net thrown away
it was tangled....drowned...and died....
so you know now why in this flimsy boat,
a woman sails beneath these northern skies
and thinks of her lover-who-might-have-been
and faces the wind...and cries

    A dolphin sings / S.C. Jones

    A separate path, a shared past...your sea.
There began my reason, my passion then.
My path - the sunshine; yours - tranquillity.
Where does one end, and the other begin?

I have war'd and died a thousand times more.
You of oceans live in blessed harmony.
Here I've conquered all plains, even to soar,
While you give cetaceans their melody.

Swim your separate way mid seas sublime,
While I go searching life's final decent.
Though now apart we were one, for all time.
Would we speak sharing this, I'd be content.

From here within me a lone dolphin rose,
Singing love songs only true wisdom knows.

     A spacious heart

     My heart is spacious
     There's enough room left inside,
     Although it's full of love,
     It's a wonderful place,
For you and me to hide.

     Most people say,
     Words often don't mean much,
But of this i am certain,
when our souls passed  each other,
we were captured by a magical touch.

     Inspired by your soul,
     I found words of emotion,
     Expressed in this little poem,
     A simple way to say,
I've been overwhelmed by the ocean.

    It's my ocean of love,
I hope you can feel it too,
It floats from one soul to another,
Still a place in my heart,
    For me and you.....

    Untiteld

    Dolphins diving here and there,
Over the waves without a care.
    Lazily gliding through the sea,
Perfect animals so gentle and free.
    Happily they talk and play,
In the water they frolic all day.
    Naturally beautiful and smart,
Surely a wonderful work of art.
